Scale car hobby and variety

I have always liked vans. Currently own a 95 Toyota Previa LE SC and 14 Toyota Sienna SE So naturally, I would want to get diecast vans. Unfortunately, Matchbox and Hot Wheels haven't really made many vans. Hot Wheels did release a Honda Odyssey and the RR Honda Odyssey based of the Bisimoto 1000hp van. It wasn't until 2016, when I was in Japan, I picked up a few vans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USlo7dvGxbk I decided I need to get some of the older vans, so my brother Noguchi-san helped me find some and sent them to me! I bought a few of these sets when I was in Japan. It is a case that folds out to be a playset. This one has an elevated parking. It is in played with condition, so worn corners and even some of the stickers. But it is pretty much all there!

I decided to check the strip of stores near my Fairfield clinic. This is CVS, TJ Maxx and Safeway. CVS and TJ didn't have anything I wanted and a very limited selection. I decided to check Safeway. I found the display stand and a quick glance netted me these 3 Hot Wheels. If you know some of these places, the card gets bent and creased as people look and put back some of these back.  I am not a hardcore collector anyway, so I bought the ones I liked with intentions of opening them.  I have the Mazda REPU, but the other 2 I didn't. I liked the Hover mode Delorean from Back to the future.  Here is a quick video of those.

Like anyone that loves toys, I'm very nostalgic. As an adult, I am more of a collector (like most) and also share the hobby with my kids I made this video when my eldest son was a few months old. At the time, I was getting older lots of used cars and rebuilding them. Now rebuilding them has a lot more resources!

One of the biggest issues for me is that I often NEVER see some of the cars I want local to me. When the Japanese Historic collection came out, I was NEVER able to find them locally. When the Transports series with the Japanese cars came out, I was never able to find them locally. Cars and doughnuts? Fast and the Furious? I don't know what it is, but I never see them around my area. It truly sucks!!! /Rant

Been searching for these cars. I feel I live in an area that has either small supplies given to my local stores or there are a bunch of collectors. I found this unexpectedly in a local Walgreens that is pretty much no selection of Hot Wheels. Nonetheless, I had to get it.  Still debating on opening it. I am not a hardcore collector, but I chase cars I like. 

This model was painted white before I got it. I wanted to put it together, but I didn't realize this model has the engine...and I gotta paint that correctly. So I've been holding off. With the others that were bundled into this group, I didn't think this would have everything, but it did and I was very happy. It has the body kit and rims as well. Models with engines demand a bit more detail.

This was the other box that contained an extra chassis. Again, short a set of rims and tires for one. The white one is also missing the add on body kit. But from what I seen, all the interior and suspension is there. Hopefully I'll get it all together this week and get them done.

In this Skyline bundle, I didn't expect to have extra chassis. But there were a couple boxes with 2 chassis. Most of the parts were in the sandwich bags. But the RS 2 was missing a set of wheels. I went through the bags to make sure that the everything is there and it seems like it. I've started on the RS-3, but the detail is pretty intense. The body is red and I need to paint the lower half black. I was hoping to get these done first, but I need to get a some different colors. The RS 2 is already painted, but gotta paint the bottom also. I have some extra wheels from the Grand Champion model, so I could use it but it is without tires.
