Scale car hobby and variety

I still have all my models, most of them are in Washington state at my parent's place... and yes, I gotta go through all of them too!!! When I moved to the Bay area, I only bought a handful shortly after. But as I explained in my first blog, I stopped. The first time I got a model was in 1999. At the time, I owned a 1995 Honda civic hatchback DX. When I started to talk to Mege-san about the car scene, I saw that Tamiya had an red civic hatchback! He got me that model and sent it to me.  This was my first attempt with a model and I tried to replicate it to me like my actual car (sans the intercooler). I had visited Japan 4 times and each time, I would bring back a few models. When I was in Japan, scale models could be found in many places and of course, it was Tamiya, Fujimi and Aoshima that was my aim. The price was usually $15 to $20.
